Check out Brenspeed.com, they sell MT drags that work on stock rims.

the mt drags are not for any, any moisture on the road.

check out M&H racemaster drag radials...
they are supposed to be the stickiest in the biz, and ive heard 1.4 and a little less 60's coming from them, as well as some damn good times, and some f-body guys twisting their tubes with them...

I am open to all suggestions... I am even thinking of getting a rear tire/wheel package just for the strip. I am also looking into a trailer to haul it there..

If you are looking to really perform at the track, that would be your best bet. Get a set of 17" wheels, and slap some M/T's or Nitto's on them, and use them just for the track.

Nitto drag radials are bad a$$ on the street but i'm not sure how well they hook at the track. Go with a 10in. wheel if you're getting wheels too.

nitto makes a 315/35/17 DR that would work on your stock rims. you couldn't fit that size tire on your rim normally, but it's a drag radial which means it has a much softer sidewall. This will allow you to be able to mount it up to a 17x8.

Ohhh ok i read your post wrong. The MTs were suggested for track use only, like switch your street tires for those for track use only. Nittos are supposed to be pretty good, so are BFGs for street tires. I hear Nittos suck in the rain though. Hey blackhavok, what are you using for the street and track? Suggestion for tires for supercharged cars?

Looking at new tires recently also, I'm thinking about the Nitto Invo's.
They look to be a good wet and dry traction tire.

These are OK for a street tire but they suck at the track.
My car came stock with these 235/50/18.

Had the 315 Nitto DRs on the back for over a year for street driving in all sorts of nasty weather (not track tires in left sig pic, they're MTs). No issues at all. Got 325 M&H DRs waiting to go on. They are supposed to grip much better than the Nitto but do not evacuate the water as efficiently. Only reason I will be using them for the street is that the car has very limited street use. 1/2 mile to work in 25 mph zone. In fact, just had old bicycle repaired and will be using that as a daily, weather permitting.

+1 Kenneth, the Nitto Invo's look like they would be good, but i haven't seen or heard of anyone using them. Their appearance is kinda crazy too, borderline ricey, but if they hook on the street decent and don't suck in the rain they may be a good buy.

MTs or M&H for the track on stock 17s. If you want a good tire to hook on the street, then Nitto DRs, they will only last like 15k miles though.

Has anyone tried the BFG B/A KDs

or the BFG Super sports for street traction or in rain?

The KDs are for handling. They aren't that good at the track and suck in the rain. For a good street tire thats good in the rain go with the BFG KDWII
