Tire question

My stock Pirellis are nearing the end of their life span. Almost 22k miles. I have a question though.

1. What did you guys replace your stock tires with? Size and brand/model?

I don't want the Pirellis, I would really want the Nitto NT555, or BFG KDWII, but neither of those have sizes even close to the stock size. I would also like to go wider. I don't want to spend a fortune either. Thanks for the help guys.

you have the stock 18s right? Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 or BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2should fit fine on those stock rims.

Goodyears are too expensive, and I like the BFGs better. I have the stock 17s though (17x8) the stock size is 235/55-17 and the diameter is 27.x, but for the BFGs the diameter for a 235/45-17 is 25.4 so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place

Trust me, I'd love to, but I don't really have the cash of hand, plus I want a CAI and tuner more that wheels.

eh... you can get my wheels for 125 bucks each over at tire rack and fit 255/45/18 KDW 2 which are 175 bucks each (funny how they are cheaper than 235/50/18)

Hey... one of the main reasons I'm changing my wheels is bacause they're all scratche up... and I want som fat tires on the rear (which it in itself has proven a difficult task to achive)

When I buy new tires I think I'll try the Nitto INVO's
Supposed to be some good wet and dry traction tires.

Redfire, I have been going through the same delima, and I think I have decided on the BFG 255/50/17 they are 27.somthing but you will be rotating, I think 9 extra rotations per mile which can be ajusted with a tuner, Time to buy a tuner! Check the tire rack sight they have the specs, but I would like to know if I'm off base with my idea like you I need a tire expert?????

Those are an option, but the tread looks kinda ricey

I love Nitto tires though, I have the terra grapplers on my Expedition and they are great.

Meh, those are alright, I would prefer the KDW2s , which are actually just KDW now, they got rid of the old style KDWs.

I would go with the Nitto NT555 instead, they have similar tread designs, and the Nittos are probably cheaper. What size were you looking at?

What do you all know about the fuzion tire? about 23 years ago I bought a little known tire for my IZUZU Troper ( hey I was a poor school teacher and it was my first new vehicle), It was called a Wrangler with a laso logo on it, of course they were bought out by goodyear and the price went up and what I liked about them vanished but it was a daned good tire at a great price, could the Fusion be good also?
