What, you expected a Boss?

Buried in the middle of Ford’s “Way Foward” plan, about a leaner structure and new products, Ford president Mark Fields makes mention of a 2008 Mustang Bullitt. As part of Ford’s commitment to produce refreshed Mustangs every year, Fields was quoted as saying “We added additional Mustang derivatives to our near-term product plans – to ensure we have at least one new Mustang every year. One of those will be the return of the Bullitt, and it’s coming in 2008.”

Yea it's a photochop, nice work too I might add. It's not the official concept, Ford's released very few details, in fact it was only 1 sentence heh. The rest of the information was compiled based on what Ford did in 2001, what Motor Trend reported in 2005, and what Ford's been doing for 2006 / 2007 special editions.

Not necessarily, Shinoda still makes the Boss and Ford (according to Motor Trend) is going to do it again... though no timeline was given. It's not out of the question for 2008, though it would make a good 2009 model.

hmmmmmmmmm you think it would be too much for a guy to own two new mustangs. i'll be paying my new one off in a short year and a half since i'll be coming back to hell (iraq) next year. a special addition would be pretty nice to keep completely stock for a day a week driver.

I’ll believe it when I see it. Talk is cheap. The best Ford has come up with is GT/CS (GT with scoops), GT/H (add stripes to GT/CS) and GT500. Ford for whatever reason takes to long to put product to pavement. The aftermarket guys keep beating them to the punch.
My suggestion to Ford if you’re listening.
GT 4.6L 3V.
Mach 1 4.6L 4V CAI, tune, high flow exhaust, change spoiler.
Boss/GT350 5.4L 4V, scoops, duck tail spoiler.
Cobra 4.6L 4V Super Charger (don’t be a wuss put in a Kenne Bell).
GT500 Shelby lets actually make 500hp at the rear wheels and call it a KR.
I’ll be waiting by the mailbox for my check.

I'd buy a new 2008 MachI or Boss if the damn dealers would sell at sticker or close. Why isn't "dealer markup" considered price gouging like it is if you markup a piece of plywood a couple of bucks during a hurricane?Same thing supply and demand.

I totally agree with you GTNorm. I mean it is crazy at some of the prices that they are selling the GT500's. I think that they should put some kind of cap on the car, so that dealers can't go above that price. I mean what is sticker price if you are going to be paying $20,000 more??
