Electrical help...


I bought one of those PIE adapter AUX outlits for my ZUNE... I Need some help on finding a 12volt power source behind head unit... Also what would be a good ground... I am taking my dash out as I type so please any quit help would be reppable...
Any tips on how too attach the The wire too the 12 volt power source would be awesome... Thanks guys...

The cigarette lighter right above it. A good ground would be one on the firewall. There should be one around there somewhere, but if not, you could use a bolt already there that's touching bare metal. Be sure to scrape the paint off from under it so you get a good ground.

and to splice the wire you could use a butt connector. Cut the wire, and take the power wire to the thing you want to wire up and twist it around one end of the cig lighter wire and crimp it, then crimp the other side.

I would rep you but i gotta spread some love... But thanks... I am just gonna have best buy do it... I dont want too run my batt down becaus the Cig lighter is always hott when the cars on and off... but I dont trust myself anymore... Took everything apart put it all back together and everything works I am happy with myself for just doing that... Thanks man...

I ended up doing it myself... Will post pictures... Amazing device... Cost me 56 dollars and my cd player still works....

is there another power source besides the cig lighter? The cig lighter always gets power, so you have to unplug anything that you hook up to it.
