Short throw shifter

what work do you have to do under the car to install a Hurst short throw shifter. I was hoping it could be done from the top...

Everything is done from under the car... all bolts and links are under the car... all you do from the top is get the stocker out (with some finess) and drop the new one in.

Under the car - You need to unbolt the stirrup holding the back end of the shifter (2 10mm nuts) and a big bolt at the front where the shifter arm bolts to the transmission.
From the top - using every plane and angle, weedle the old shifter out.
Having transferred over the parts required, reinsert Hurst shifter and bolt up the 3 points under the car.

Might get away with two wheels parked on a high kerb if you're very slim.

Here's mine to give you a little idea.

Just drive the car on some 2x4s to get it on a lift. My buddy is in the same boat. He has an 05 Roush with sportlines. That sucker is low
