I got the same thing on the same side. If it's a lifter, no big deal...It's just a clogged lifter resulting in low oil in the lifter. If you ever pull your valve covers off, just clean 'em up.

you can test the injectors by applying voltage to them (12v) but anything longer than a split second could burn them out. i had some clogging and had to clear them. use a extra injector elect plug to ease the process and when making the elect contact for the split second you will hear them click. clicking is usually a good sign that their working, could still be plugged or? but at least its doing something.

This motor has a camshaft roller follower which has a valve lash adjuster,.....they do tick but not really loud. However this car did have a recall for the valve lash adjuster which resulted in loud ticking but given the mileage, I don't think it may apply but I could be wrong. Could see if the recall applies, if so then that is likely your culprit. I think this was noticable once the car was at normal operating temp, or after a long run on the highway

Either way if you running headers, then it could be an exhaust leak. If stock then I doubt its exhaust.

As for the injector, not sure, as an injector that was acting up would set a code on our cars, it just real finnicky in that area.

yeah i will have to look for when it's the worst. I have been running the alternative fuel safe for regular engines. So I thought that might have plugged up an injector. It's not an exhaust leak more on the top of the engine.
