shelby GT's

My uncle is looking for a car, and can't take his eyes of the shelby gt. It's the only s197 he likes(he's a former '01 gt owner[r.i.p.]). What prices have you seen people paying for them. The sticker at the dealership is $38,000. After he saw that one, i told him if he couldn't get it that it wouldn't take much to make the regular GT look that good. If he gets it or not, will depend on if we get approved. It will suck that my car won't be the nicest in the driveway anymore

If his heart is set on a Shelby GT, thats cool, but he can drive a Bullitt for under 32K.

The bullitt doesn't have more to offer. Plus, the dealerships around here are already sold out of them. Couldn't get the shelby today. Gonna go back in a few weeks and try again.

i'd get a regular GT and mod it, to make it just how i like it, i don't want a car that was designed by an 80 year old.. elderly folks have no taste lol

Bullitt is a better value, 31-32k and comes with CAI, different gears, suspension, and interior+exterior looks. 38k for a Shelby GT is high for what you get from it, only makes 10 more hp then the bullitt.

There is a big differance between $38,000 and $60,000. Like i already said, the bullitt isn't an option.

if he gets approved get the shelby instead of modding a gt id pick the shelby anyday over modding a new gt and ruining the warrenty and it looks alot better then a stock gt

he won't buy a regular gt. He thinks they are ugly. So far the shelby gt is the only one he likes. He is a new edge guy. I told him it wouldn't cost much to make a gt look like a shelby gt and he said that would be gay. He hate's cars that look like something that they aren't. He loved his '01 gt, but the engine died at 100K miles.

The bullitt does not have more to offer? Please, I wasnt a fan of the Bullitt at first but it has a good package and is cheaper than the GT. only a few less HP. The bullitt has the GT500 seats, Steering wheel, and rear axle. A bullitt specific interior, 3.73 gears, specific computer tuning raising the max engine RPM, suspension tuning, and a bullitt specific exhaust. I test drove a shelby GT and got a Premium GT instead. They wanted 38k for the shelby and it had the plane jane interior without any upgrades. I refuse to pay that much more for a couple of FRPP bolt ons which anyone can do to a GT, and the shelby name. The Bullitt has as much or more nastalgia and performance as the Shelby with out the sticker shock its a no brainer to me. But heck what do I know? If he has the money to drop he should get what ever he wants.

In all actuallity the Shelby GT looks like a GT/CS with stripes and a billet grill. The Shelby GT doesn't even look that much different than a regualr GT.
