Advice guys...

I was at my local Ford getting a oil change and I decided to ask about getting the same suspension as the New bullit which just came out... The dealer ship was getting a bullit in next week so they got the Vin number and looked up the exact parts that I would need to switch out... I have the papers of what they showed me about the New bullits Suspension so I will post them up in 5mins or so I gotta scan them... But I believe the bullit has about a half inch drop and a much stabiler suspension then my 2006 GT.. I am in the Process of a FULL cervini kit and I do not what my side exhaust the scrape nor do I want to worry about taking turns too hard that I might scrape the bumpers front lip...
I just want too get your guys takes on this little venture.... I will Post the Bullits Parts list and the Cost and all in my next post so hold tight... Parts wise its about $650...

-Joe

Personally I would rather save up and buy a full kit from Steeda or BMR.

That doesn't mean the Ford stuff is bad though. Does the Ford setup come with warranty?

It would better to buy a Steeda or BMR kit like Zip said. It is more expensive, but will outperform the Ford stuff.

I want a drop thats less then an inch.... In reality all I want is stiffer suspension at the ride hieght that I am right now... It may seem that I am being over cautsious but when you dump around 4,000 into a body kit when you hear it scrape it sounds like the end of the world...
I was not set on that idea so I am open to new ones but I do not want to be slammed... I wish I could afford a lower drop but my bumper is 5 1/4 inches off the ground now...

I say drop that fukr in the weeds.. Honestly if your that scared at 5 1/4, and you continue to drive the way you have been in all these other post discussions. Don't drop it at all. A inch ain't enough to make a good visual difference, and the bullit is not out handling any stock GT by all that much.

I'd do all th traction mods and leave it a 4x4 if I were you. My cervinis nose is exactly 3 inches off the ground and I'm cruisin chicago with the car. Haven't hit it yet. Gotta drive under control, so under control that if you come across something you can get around it somehow.. At stock height your gonna have trouble with the side exhaust over speed bumps.

I say leave it alone..

Just do what you feel will end up making you more comfortable. If you think you're gonna worry too much about scratching the body on dips or potholes, then screw it, just stay how you are. No reason to make your drive one full of worry

Good info! I agree that the aftermarket products provide a better choice of ride height and handling improvement, but with the warranty remaining in place that would add some value to it for me. Two thumbs up on the part numbers!!!

Hmm I was talking to my buddies today and think I may have come to a Idea... Tell me if you think this is stupid or not...

I get some Tokico D Spec Shocks & Struts and I drive around with comfortable height so I am not worrying about every little bump but when I got too shows.... I go early jack her up and drop her with my friends just for the show then after I jack her up and raise her agian....

I am not fully aware of what I would need to install to do something like that... I am hoping not coil overs because those seem to be very expensive... I think I read somewhere that the D specs have like a 3.5 adjustability ratio either way...
Can you guys help me fill in the blanks where I am wrong...

Also Emay how bad its taking speed bumps at stock hieght with side pipes??

Thanks guys much appreciated...
-Joe

Thought I should have threw those up for you guys.... It was really no problem at all... Ford said they would do the whole thing including ordering parts for 1,000....

Yea I quit driving like a dick... I just cruise now and just bang some gears on straight aways here and there.. Once the front bumper went on I had too much too lose it I nicked it of anything....
Thanks for the info I really appreciate it...

The shocks wont adj the ride height of the car. Only thing that is adjustable with those is the rebound. The only way that you would be able to adj it the way you want to is with some adjustable coilovers. But still that would be silly as every time you adjusted them you would be screwing you alignment. And before you say would return it to the height it was at before you drive it , you will never be able to get it exactly where you had it. You need to just make up your mind if you want to lower it or not. I would have to agree with emay and slam the thing on the ground and mind your p's and q's when out driving. Its not a big deal to drive a car slammed you just have to be careful. I rolled around indy for years slammed and didnt really have a problem with it ( except for the occasional scrape ) you just learn how to menuver it around differnt obsticles and what you can and cannot take.

Has anybody tried H&R's offerings? I've had very good luck with their spring setups on various vehicles.

H&R Sports are a great compromise spring, much more aggressive than factory but not overly harsh for street use. They are also more on the conservative side on their ride heights, for those folks not looking to rip off their front spoilers!
