yep. the challenger and cuda are both on the stretched charger chassis. i concur, you either like both of them, or dislike both of them. there are minimal differences in the styling

s197s were sexier when they hit the showroom.

Plus come on we all know that's too much weight for a two door coupe.

I think it's a great looking car with good suspension and brakes, but it's 4150 lbs with it's inefficient pushrod engine is unacceptable. Chrysler took a "bull in a china shop" approach to power. Instead of refinement and technological innovation they just made the engine big to get power. This is a game that the Japanese have been beating us at for years. You'd think Chrysler would learn from this like Ford did. The 6.1 hemi has impressive hp and torque numbers, but at the expense of efficiency.
The S197 GT is just as fast, stops just as well, gets significantly better the fuel economy and costs a lot less to buy. The S197 GT does more with less by using more advanced technology in every area but rear suspension.
In my opinion Ford has done a much better job with the S197.

IMO the solid rear is better that an IRS. The majority of people with these cars are into drag racing, which is were the solid axle shines. If they are into handling then they can add a watts link.

They really remind me of the new GTO approach...good power/engine, but heavy and pricey. At least they look like real muscle cars, unlike the new GTOs.
