As i am watching on the ninosport website, they have listed two types of SS axlebacks... one of them just axle back and the other race axle back...

whats the difference in these two? is there really a sound difference?
I just bought a 07 gt and this will be my first mod (i really like messing with the exhaust).

any help will be appreciated.

Probably different mufflers, what are the part #'s your looking at?

part numbers as stated there are 46055 and 46055R

I've got the Bassani axle-back on my 2006 GT. The "race" version has a round muffler and is supposed to be much louder than the other version. I chose the regular version that has oval-shaped mufflers, except there are apparently two option with this version - one with 4" rolled tips (stainless steel) and one with 4" angle-cut tips (BX, I believe). I thought I had purchased the one with the rolled tips, but ended up with the angle-cut tips. I didn't realize this until I had bolted them up to the car (I left the protective packaging around them during installation). It's taken a while to adjust to the look of 4" angle-cut tips when I wanted rolled tips (I've only had it on for a week), but the look is beginning to grow on me.

The sound is nice, although there's a bit of resonation going through the gears, and again if you're cruising just below 2k rpm's. It doesn't bother me, and is in no way "too loud" for me.
