Did some interior painting!


I asked a question a couple of days ago about painting the interior and another member posted some pics of his and it gave me the idea and today i did mine.... went out and got some dupli-color silver metallic paint and did some slight sanding and painted the window switch piece and the ring around the speakers i think it turned out okay here are some pics lmk what you think....

Yeah the mav guy made me do i like it alot and it's alot cheaper then buying a dash kit and i think it looks just as good.

what kinda duplicolor paint did you use? Is it a spray paint for palstic? Also did you spray some sort of clear coat on it? I would worry about it getting scratched.

i got the duplicolor silver metallic spray paint the perfect match one for cars, not for plastic those actually arent that good did it on my old car and didnt turn out as good as this did... And i did 3 coats of silver and 1 of clear coat.

on removing the pieces they pretty much just pop out you can get a flat head and wrap some masking tape around the end so you dont scratch anything and just push it under the switch piece and pop it up then disconnect the window switches from the back and that is held by little clips loosen those with the flat head and it comes off... and the ring just pull it and i'll pop off easy... and thats pretty much it hope it turns out well and let us see some pics when your finished.

I really like the way this looks, but I think Ford should have done this in our $460 interior upgrade package. It looks like it came that way from the factory. Very classey and not like something that was added on.
