Turbo's & Centrifugal type s/c'ers make more power in the middle & top of the powerband.
The power adder is just one of many components of a setup, to achieve a particular goal. The words "turbo" and "lag" for example, tend to be used in the same sentence a lot...but show me the lag or the lack of low end power in my car's launch. Lots of other factors go into pulling both fronts off the ground and ribbing the massive slicks, besides the supercharger or turbo.

I don't think you "launched" in the "low end" Steve ... Turbo lag is more a term for street use ... where true "low end" is applicable. If you sit at every red light and "stage" your car and "launch" above 3k then you won't see the lag of any cetrifugal boost ...

Certainly the fastest boost cars I've ever seen use turbos ... their tunability and insane boost level potential are perfect for the strip.

Good point. My car actually makes for a lousy street racer...so I don't

With my pro-charger MACH I even with Nitto 17/35/ 315 drag radials there is no way the car will hook up well on the street on a launch. That being said it is very driveable and still runs in the high 11s on the track. Oh yes and it also gets good gas mileage being it is a 10 to 1 motor and for normal driving it is not boosting. More low end tork then need on a street/strip car. Perhaps a roots type would provide more low end but cant see a reason for that considering all the hassel involved in installing a root system on a MACH I

Hey Beckerb... what other mods do you have to get to 535 on only 8 pounds of boost? I like the ts for driving on the street.. no pre thought required... just go time...
