yeah, i remember hearing something about that for installing a supercharger. oh, it was ROUSH.

"NOTE: FOR APPLICATION ON 2007 MY MUSTANGS, SUPPLEMENTAL KIT IS REQUIRED"

[edit] supplemental kit is $336.05! [/edit] what's different about the engine? i dunno.

also... according to C&L.

"2007 model support is now available through the NEW CL7145 Predator tuner. A hardware change in the automatic models necessitates that the CL7140 tool used on 2005-2006 models will not support 2007+ vehicles. When ordering for a 2007+ model Mustang, please be sure that you specify that you need the CL7145 version..."[SNIP]

I thought I read that the strut towers were spaced slightly wider on the 07's vs. the 05-06's to accomodate the larger engine in the GT500's.

Does this mean that I cannot drop a larger engine in my 06 at some point?

No, it just means that the 06 /05 requires more work than the 07 to make it happen. You can lift out the 4.6 on the 07 and drop right in the 5.4. SWEET. The 06/05 will need much more work to make that happen.

One minor feature new for '07 was the MP3 input.

One other difference is the A/C control knobs on the 05 and 06 could be replaced, but the 07 ones don't come off so a overlay piece has to be applied if you want to add chrome to those knobs.
