Differences Between 05-07 Mustangs

First post w00t!
Basically what my topic is, what are the differences between the 05-07 Mustangs? I ask this because my friend just got a new 07 v6 stang and it has a new spoiler(which i love by the way), and the recent news of ford "refreshing" the mustang every year, also I am highly considering purchasing an 07 gt soon. thanks in advance.

The main differences from what I can tell is the optional heated seats, satilite radio, my color dash, auto dimming rear view, and the hood scoop.

I know the 06's puts down more power then the 05's...

I have dyno numbers to back that up as well...

Other then that I think it is just the options that are different...

late this year you are supposed to be able to get a navigation system. also if you want the 3.55 gears you will have to pay an extra $100 for it. otherwise it think it comes standard with 3.31's or something. you can also get a couple new colors.....

I think that 20 years from now the 05's GT will be worth more because they didn't make very many. the 06's which I bought were very plentiful. I walked around the lot for days and every lot had more than 20 GT's to pick from. The 05s were going for 3-4k over sticker here and the 06 was discounted more than 2k . I agree with what was said above the differences are so minor. One thing that surprised me was that the dark blue color that I got is a different color than the dark blue 05. When I bought it I thought it was the same.

I am gonna have to disagree with 05 being worth more. just because they made more in 06 doesnt mean they will be worth less, my 06 has options not avail in 05 like the 18s and the tungston grey. and like it was said eariler, more power. in the late 60's early 70s when they made that style of chevelle's, the 1970s are worth the most becuase they had the most power and features and they made more of them that year then the previous year.
also does the 05 come with "my color" gauges?

the 05 did come with the my color guages option. How much more power did the 06 have than the 05...I thought they were rated at 300 both years?

We had a bone stock 05 GT 5-Speed and a bone stock 06 GT 5-Speed...

06 GT 5-Speed - 265hp/300tq
05 GT 5-Speed - 263hp/280tq

So 2rwhp/20rwtq difference...

That would be uite noticeable...The 07's are the same power rating as the 06's I believe...

Keep in mind that dyno's are a tuning tool. You could take the same car to 3 different dynos and end up with different hp/tq numbers. A Mustang dyno will always register less than a Dynojet. Also, some numbers are not adjusted to SAE so they may appear higher. I use the numbers only as a barometer. I am more concerned about how quick my car is at the track.

The side by side comparison of 2 stock cars is a good one. This is a much better yardstick that 2 different cars on different days/conditions/dynos. Good observation.

Yeah this was same day...Same conditions...Actually they were both under 10K miles...Dynoed by the same person who went to the same RPM's on each shift...We all wanted a baseline between the two as well...It was about as close as we could get it...

"The 2007 Mustang V6 and GT chassis, suspension, and body shares many of the same construction designs as the GT500. Thicker sheetmetal support and extra welds can be found on the 2007 chassis. Re-designed strut towers on the 2007 Mustang accommodate the wider 5.4 L 4V V8 engine in the GT500. The rear diffuser on the 2007 GT California Special package (GT/CS) is also found on the GT500."
