First Time at the Dragstrip
So me and my buddy who has a 03 GT with BBK LT headers, JLT CAI, and upper plenum, 245/45r17 Nitto DR's went down to our local dragstrip yesterday and had a blast. We ran dead even with a winning margin of .0133. My best run is as follows
Reaction - .6361 60ft - 2.24 330ft - 6.12 1/8 ET - 9.16 1/8 MPH - 81.68 1/4 ET - 13.88 1/4 MPH - 105.24 Considering this was my first time ever racing at a drag strip i feel i did pretty good. I had massive traction issues with my 235's. I would try and feather and go and they still spun like crazy. So im going to be purchasing a set of 17" rims for the back with 275/40 Nitto DR's that i can change over at the track..that and some lower and upper control arms...and more practice ill be down in the high 12's my goal with my mods is 12.8xx with more practice and stickier tires i think that is possible.

if your going to get some track only tires, I would get some MT's or M&H drag radials.

Sounds like you had a blast. Excellent time for your first trip to the track. Good luck on breaking into the 12's!!

I think the 31 spline axles in the S197 will hold up alot better than the 28 spline in previous models

There's alot of people running the MT's on the stock axles.
Good times for your first time out

Nice times. The MTs or M&Hs will be much much stickier than the Nittos.

Ok track you should try and hit Rockingham, not as many bikes and better track.
