Emay I'll be pulling the plugs this weekend to see what they look like. I just can't imagine a bad seal or blowing a gasket with 2850 miles. Here is a picture
of my exhaust tips as of today. I polished them as best as I could saturday night when I got home. They don't usually get much cleaner than this.

truthfully I thought what you see in those pictures was normal for an offroad pipe and I thought the car was supposed to smoke the way it does. I PM'd you 2 videos of the car during start up. One is about 5 minutes just to give you a sense of what is going on. I thought everything was normal until two very knowledgeable gear heads asked if I was burning oil. The second one asked me without me ever stating that my dad had asked me the same question a few weeks prior. He also said my tips looked a abnormal even though I had an offroad pipe. I checked the oil again today, no chalky residue so I would hope that it's safe to say it's not a gasket?

My tips on my magnaflows kinda turned like that after I put my off road h-pipe on. It kinda makes sense that the cats would absorb some heat. Now without them the heat is able to travel more freely out the exhaust. I notice if I run my car for maybe a minute or two then shut it off the next time I start it ,it smokes just a little on start up.

Smallz, watched the vids, and I have to agree there's a sense of condensation. My car does something similar at start up on cooler days, but it goes away within 30 to 45 seconds. Yours continued for quite some time. After you drive the car for a while and then leave it stationary but running, does it still show the same white smoke?

I have a serious amount of condensation that comes out of my side exhaust at start up. It essentially makes the garage floor wet, and if I rev the car a bit, it will spray a good distance from the vehicle..

Your car sounds good, nothing abnormal about it in the video. Don't worry about the RPM fluctuation that's a normal cold start function.

I'm wondering about your heavy fuel / fume smell. I'd almost recommend seeing if you can get on a dyno with a sniffer or wideband just to see where your at. If it's as overwhelming as you mention, then some of your condensation could be getting cause by unburned fuel entering the exhaust which in turn will give off a heavy fuel smell, rather than a burned exhaust smell.

Emay I checked last night when I came home from school, the car does not smoke after it's been running for a few minutes and the car has reached normal operating temperature. If I rev it when I start it, no water comes out. What I found weird in the video was that when the car is started after 30 seconds two small short bursts of darker smoke come out but then 30 seconds after that the car starts to give that white smoke you saw in the video. The fuel part is where I got very confused, I get that overwhelming smell of raw unburnt gasoline even when I drive, but once its warmed up it's not as strong. When I spoke to Doug at Bama chips he said something along the lines of the car runs rich at start up to warm up better. He also said he had spoken to SCT about the start up tables and I asked him to lean it out a little if possible. So he sent me new tunes to try to help the situation. Now some people are telling me that I'm running lean though with the smell I would assume it was rich. I might have no choice but to head to the dyno. I'll see what kind of trouble I'm in Saturday when I pull the plugs. I just don't know why my tips are turning that color, unless thats what raw gasoline does to polished stainless steel?

Hey I am experiencing some of the same issues, but I am tending to think its from going with off road pipes and LT headers. my 07 Stang didnt smoke at all before the LTs and o/r X pipe. At first I thought it was a coating on the ceramic headers but now I am thinking its normal. My smoke seems to be whitish as well. But I wouldnt think it would be a coolant or oil leak since all was fine 3 weeks ago before the big MODS. thoughts?
