2008 Shelby GT-C

#00091
Local Dealership has 3 "Grabber Orange" w/ silver stripes. What's up with the $52k price tag? Weren't the '07 GT500's going at that price?

What's a GT-C? I've never even heard of that.

Man that thing looks nice and low on those 20 inchers.... Not sure I'd go with a $4,500 brake kit with no real upgrade in power, but at least it doesn't look horrible. Think $16,000 would go a lot further though.... Factor in the discounts on stock factory GT premiums, that's more like a $22k to $24k upgrade.

It has about 20hp and 10 torq more than a regular GT. Buy a regular GT and do the same and it'll be cheaper

It looked great, it sounded really good, it felt great, but the hurst shifter would be the first thing I'd replace with my MGW. I also notice the hood scoop was attached with rivets approx. 1-1/2 to 2" apart around the sides and back. Sorta looked like an afterthought.
+1 on the status...needless to say I left the dealership with a woody!

In all seriousness I've heard that argument too many times to count... why is it a bad thing people like to make special editions of the Mustang? Were you going to try to collect them all Redfire?

I mean, the car is probably the best represented in terms of aftermarket support I've ever seen... and we all know lots of people would rather buy turnkey modded cars rather than mod their own.

I would much rather mod my own car, and definitely look forward to it, but why is it a bad thing for people to make cars for other people who don't want to mod their own? It certainly isn't diluting the Mustang name or anything... in fact with how over priced these premodded cars are, I'd say they go a long way towards bolstering the Mustang image....

Just my $0.02.

Still wouldn't buy the GT-C.
