what do you guys think of this hood and i take my spoiler off and run no spoiler. I like this hood becuase, 1 it is suppose to be the lightest aftermarket hood for our cars and i assume lighter then stock, becuase a lot ot these hoods are heavier then stock and 2 it is suppose to actually keep the temp under the hood within 5 degrees above ambient. So its not like im just doing something for looks, its functional in that sense.

I prefer that hood to mine. Looks like a 2 in. which is far more practical for street use. As far as removing the spoiler...I did...but I just plain don't like spoilers. That's a personal choice though...no right or wrong.

I think it would look good. I havent seen one mustang on the street with a cowl hood. So it will be pretty unique. Everyone gets hoods with scoops

How did you remove the spoiler? Or should i said what did you do with the holes?

find a black v6 guy on here that doesnt have a spoiler and see if he would like to swap trunks.

by the way lee its a toss up between your hood and this one with no spoiler. i like your hood but i never see these on stangs, even at meets and stuff. Plus i think this one would be lighter, what do you think?

Its the steeda ultra light race cowl induction hood. Its not a big cowl hood though its like two inches. if you go to steeda's site you can see it, its the black and blue one. mine would be all black of course. though i do like the black on that blue car.

yeah i would go with the cowl hood...it looks nice and like you said you never seen it on a mustang around you. and maybe some nice hood pins to hold the sucker down.

how much did they charge you? I ask a body shop about removing my radio antenna since i only listen to sirous and they quoted me 600 bucks to weld it, sand it and paint it.

ok you guys convinced me i think im going to get that hood.

Redfire, i like the ducktail spoilers and all but i see to many of them around me. Hell i love the elaenor body kit but last summer i went to this local mustang gathering. out of 100 stangs there were six mustangs with that kit on it. 4 black and 2 with the grey and black stripes. I mean on a daily basis i dont see that many, but at any stang gathering i see way to many. went to ocean city for the muscle car thing, it was all you saw. thats why i was thinking the eleanor hood with no spoiler. that would be a little different.

I really think these cars look tough with no spoiler if they have some kinda hood scoop or something, like the shelby gt.


This hood from temple performance on there legend x mustang is pretty coole too, and i dont think many people know about it. But its not functional. im tired of haveing scoops that arent really scoops.
