I run the 93 octane race tune as a DD tune, all the time. Up where I live, the 93 is about 10 cents more a liter, so on a normal fill up of say 2/3 of a tank, which is 40 liters, it's costing me maybe 4 or 5 bucks extra to use the 93 race tune. 40 liters is roughly 12 gallons.
I've not had my car dyno'd, but I can feel the difference in the sotp from the 91 torque tune I had to the 93 race tune. I did lose about 2-3 mpg on the highway with the race tune, but still get around 25 mpg @ 75 mph with the cruise on. |

There is probably about 10rwhp difference between a good 87 tune and a 93 tune.

Last week I did 4 pulls using the canned tunes. I did 3 with 87 performance and 1 with 91 performance. I did put the 87 per. tune back in the car since that is what octane I was using. 1st pull with 87 per 282.35 hp/297.85 tq
2nd pull with 91 per. 289.46 hp/303.31 tq 3rd pull with 87 per. 287.67 hp/303.70 tq 4th pull 87 per 283.53 hp/297.24 tq. Today I just installed the 89 tq tune from Doug. I have yet to drive the car with this tune. |
