well for one, turbos make great torque and fairly low to. as for running with the boxed tine they send with the procharger? thats not smart at all. look at that as a crutch to get you to a real tuner with a dyno so they can do a custom tune. not all cars respong to the exact same mods the same way. some will run rich and some will run lean. so if your smart, even after putting in the pre boxed tune, youll go and get a true custom dyno tune. worth every single penny

Guys, I've done plenty of SC research but haven't pulled the trigger yet since I want to take care of all the easier mods first, but I definitely vote for the twin screw for street use. From an engineering point of view of view, twin screws are just superior because they bring the boost on much sooner than a centrifugal. The roots type guys also love their blowers since they have much the same characteristics as the twin screw, but they are much less efficient. A roots blower has a much higher air intake temp since the lobes actually touch and "beat" the air to compress it. The twin screw rotors never touch and actually squeeze the air inside the screws.
I first started looking at the Procharger by ATI because of the big HP numbers and cheaper price, but the more you look at them, the more you see most of the power is at the top end since the blower has to spool up like a turbo. I'm probably going to end up going Kenne Bell. Just so you know, there is a "group buy" going on for the Saleen twin screw over on one of the other forums which ends 10/31. Not sure if I can name it here, but I'll send you the name via email if you want it.
