this is true about issiues with the bigger ones.
I got one from bbk i think and had idle issues out the ass.moey will better spent on gears , shifter or a real intake tuner setup.I have the C&lwith diablo tuner and cantbe happier.Waaaaay big difference.I even put it back to stock sometimes to apreciate the difference

It might be worth noting that the Airraid CAI is able to be installed without a tune.

"Unlike many other intake systems that are on the market today, AIRAID’s new 2005-2006 Mustang GT V-8 intake system makes great horsepower and torque WITHOUT the need for aftermarket tuning."

I went with this way myself and it was able to break up the costs nicely for me for a intake and a tuner... Now i am picking up my tuner tommorrow and i plan on removing the modular tube from the airraid CAI and will now get the full effect of both tune and cai.. will be nice.

Im not for sure. i have been reading forums and magizines to learn what i can. I bought a cai for it but after that im lost. I have been reading about 3.73 gears and new exhaust. i have read up on super chargers and teh different types and turbos but i want to stay away from turbos. I have read up on tuners and everything as well. I know i want to lower it i do have that much figured out.

You should be fine with the BBKs.

As far as the K&N goes though, it sucks ass.

well i dont want to get into my car to deep because i dont want to have to replace pistons and cranks and cams. i want to keep things kind of simple but still get plenty of power i was thinking about an eaton supercharger kit. It comes with everything you need. i am also going to completly redo my suspension so all the foriegn tuners can kiss my ass

Pass on the Eaton.

Go for one of the other, better positive displacement blowers like the Saleen, Whipple, or the e-force.
