87 Octane


ok so i lend my car to my dad...well he ends up stopping at a gas station n fills up. the car is tuned for 93 octane...n he put 87!!! keep in mind the car is supercharged and cams at 9.5 psi.. is my car screwed? can i just finish the gas with no wot?? please help me!!!

see the tank is currently topped off.......with 87 octane! and last time i used octane booster my car hated it! it actually ruined my ht0's

There should be a drain plug. You're gonna have to find something to hold 14 gallons of gas.

It should be fine, just STAY OUT OF BOOST!!! If you hear any knocking at PT then put in some torco. Maybe fill it up with 93 to help dilute the 87 too. Most tuners do not bump the timing too much at the low load regions.

Most new cars have some kind of vlave that prevents a siphon hose from going in. I dont know if the mustangs have them though.

Drive it easy, stay out of boost if you can help it, don't rev over 3000 rpm and you'll be fine.

Maybe if you use a metal ram rod you could break it off, but it will take some serious force. I'm guessing you have never seen the filler tube.
