Question

Removing The Front Grill?

Is there a way to remove the front grill without going through the whole ordeal of removing the entire front bumper cover, etc?

I see that there are plastic tabs holding it on and I'm scared that I'm going to break something.

Thanks!!

I believe its as simple as removing the tabs. I was lookin at it when i was "trying" to change my headlights. stock grill is pretty durable IMO.

Yes there are clips all around the grill that you can slide you hand ( if your skinny ) or a long screwdriver down to to remove it.

Been there, done that. Take radiator cover off, there is a bolt on top of the front facsia on each side next to the headlight. Loosen them (don't take'm out). Unclip the left and right side of the grill, you may need a long screw driver to push the tabs on the fascia. Once you have the sides out, pull grill top forward easy, reach to bottom and undo the four bottom clips. Oh yea, get some good scratch remover because no matter how hard you try, you will have scratches on top of the bumper.

I'll echo this, yesterday I removed mine while working on installing a cs6 grille. Not easy to do and you will need long flat head screwdrivers to work those tabs. They do give and flex, just don't go overboard and you should be fine not snapping something.

Why not just remove the grill & bumper as 1? Then replace the grill & reinstall. Cant add that much time to the whole deal.. An extra 30 min to do it right, with no scratches or broken tabs.. Just my 2 cents

because its really not hard to remove at all. just be nice with it and it'll come right out

plus you run a risk of scrathcing something if you remove the whole bumper

the grill really isnt that hard at all to remove. im just saying, dont stick in a flat head and just start prying shit apart. and on the lower clips, its easier to get under the car and go up.

just my $.02

Only if you're an idiot.... set down a damn towel and have a buddy just gently lift it off and place it on the towel, no scratch problems

Yeah, just put a towel or a bed sheet down and set it on top of it. Much less likely to scratch the bumper that way.
