Just talk to C&L. Interesting info.
Some of us were talking about the adaptive system on the 08 bullit and how it adjust for octane levels. I called C&L today to make my buy in and was talking the him about different facts. Anyway I ask him about this system He said that basically all mustangs have had this ability since 2005. Long explanation of the small difference but basically its just that the bullit comes with the timeing advanced 4 degrees, if it senses lower octane on detonation it will retard the timeing accordingly, basically something the car was already capable of with the knock sensor and all. The bullit does had an ability too monitor trends in a/f to an extent the gt does not though. Another peice of info in the CAI on the bullit it flows 835cfm, stock is around 500 and change i think, and as you all know the steeda, jlt, c&l are all around 1000 cfm. A lot of the no tune CAI's are flowing 800 something.
Another little bit of information that I was unaware of, C&L sells a CAI/Predator package. The particular Diablo that comes in this package is not available through Diablo. It is basically a C&L exclusive. ALL required custom tunes for their street and racer intake are on this diablo as well as tuner support from C&L. Using an xcal only, i dont know if this is true with all diablos or not but you can track A/F right on the screen of the diable and do not have to use you laptop like with the XCAL. When you plug it into your car it will read all necessary information and know whether you car is an automatic or not, it also has 2 additional tunes for automatics. It also has the normal ability for you to change your gear ratio, tire size, a/f and timeing. |

Yeah I had read that somewhere before, 07sgt, but I could never find the magazine I read it in or find accurate info online, so I never bothered posting aboot it here, since I'm not fond of posting something up unless I'm 100% positive about something that important.

Yes, I do have the Diablo, stanger, but I have not tried playing with anything besides installing the tune, other than bumping the timing up a few notches on my race tune,raising the rev limiter in the first 3 gears, and disabling the top speed governor. So I can't be of much help on that.

I know you have not been to happy with diablo. Is that just a service issue or the unit itself? Cause c&l provides all tuner service on their tuner. |

ya thats me....but let me tell you guys somthing....me level of experience with these things is growing FAST. You can see your A/F on the screen ...its just in a different formula like sg/ somthing.....dunno what it means.
