Mufflers are not even
Okay, I recently installed some JBA Axel-back Mufflers onto my car. I put the right one on fine and also the left one. I lowered the car back onto the ground and noticed that my left one is lower and sticks out further than the right one. Now, I am not mechanically inclined, but I swear I followed the directions to the T. What is up with that? Do I need to take the left one off again and try to bang the "hooks" on the muffler itself to try to make it even with the good one? Or do I remove it and bang out the "hangers" on the underside of the car?
If you need to, click on the pic below to blow it up.

I think the JBA's are the hardest to get straight, the way I got mine is after I got it close I loosened up the clamps at the H-Pipe and finished adjusting from there.

my bassanis where very uneven for a while, it took a lot of work to get them right.........it ended up needing adjusted where the "over axle" pipe met the x pipe....... i just loosened the clamp, twisted it a little bit and BAM, it was right!!!! lol

that because when you buy a mid muffler, you get two glasspacks and two muffler deletes for however much it is..

My FRPP Stingers took a little bit of finessing too.

I upgraded my hangers and my left is still a little off. I broke it in, then adjusted it some more. Its not noticeable any more unless you are just that anal.

Fixed
I found out why my mufflers looked "off." When I put the X-pipe on, I didn't cut one pipe as long as the other one. I shortened the longer one to fit. It's looking good now.

Just installed my FFRP Stingers today and I have the same problem, except it's my right pipe that's off. I'm gonna loosen the clamp on the axleback and (if need be) the h pipe, have a buddy hold it where it needs to be and tighten accordingly.

[/QUOTEMy JBA's are also not completely even, but I am not going to worry about it now. Have compared the sounds between x-pipe, JBA axleback with h-pipe and JBA axlebacks?

I would just run it down to an exhaust shop. They do it all the time I'm sure they could do it pretty cheap and less time. I hate going to the shop but sometimes it's just worth it.

I had the same issue installing the Borla axleback.
I ended up loosening the next set of clamps back on the exhaust and that gave me plenty of play to get the pipes in the right spot. I then put a towel on a floor jack to keep the pipes where I wanted them and cranked all the clamps down. Ended up perfect
