First impressions and runs with the new Procharger! (Long read)
Well I did the install of the Procharger the day it came in... I got it in the mail at noon and the car was running before midnight... haha... Thats with a few snack breaks and what not, if that tells ya how easy the install really was... It was a very straightforward install... The hardest part was the dual pump install that came with the kit... Its a little tedious to get the pumps back in the tank correctly... Yes I went with the full kit instead of tuner because I didn't want a no start/run situation given my location and parts take so long to get here... I went with the P1-SC-1 Stage II kit with the upgraded intercooler... I am going with Amazon for the tuning and Rick is a huge help... I know he is a busy man but he will still answer the phone and troubleshoot with ya... Great people... I recommend going ahead and getting an upgraded fuel system because with a hotter tune like I will be running from Amazon I max out the fuel pump duty cycle at about 5800 rpm's... However with the Procharger tune that doesn't happen... I ordered a 40 amp Boost-A-Pump from D'Agostino to add to my dual pumps... That should have me covered for many mods to come... The Procharger tune isn't all that bad once you start to tweek the tune with the Predator... I don't know why people don't like the Predator... I really like this thing... I have both the Predator and an XCal2 now... I have worked the Procharger tune over and straightened out the MAF curve and got my WOT AFR between 11.9 and 12.1 across the board... I am running only 17 degrees timing right now though... Rick says there is a bunch more we can squeeze out of it though...
I ran it at the track the other night and here is what came about... Now remember the DA here sucks cause its humid as can be and its pretty warm too(Damn tropical island drag racing )... From my research the DA is equal to about 9/10 of a second slower than a stateside time...I bogged all the starts pretty bad... I had to get my launches straightened out with the new Procharger and the ET streets... It was either bog or roast em... I couldn't seem to find the sweet spot, but I only got 4 runs... The best time was a 12.6 best trap speed was 110... My 60 foots weren't horrible but they weren't great at a 1.79 being the best for that night... I can a much better 60 foot once I find the sweet spot... And that time was lift shifting too... I don't wanna be to hard on the stock clutch for now... haha ![]() So yeah thats my experience and thanks for the read... CF: New Procharger. Easy install. Very happy with. Got decent times considering tune and location. Working out new tune with Rick at Amazon. More mods on the way to be quicker. |

Cool man. Times arent bad for first runs. A little more seat time in those numbers will be dropping off fast.

Congrats on the install that sounds very easy!!
with a procharger you should be in the 11's...some more seat time to get used to your car and your numbers will decline like no other..keep up the good work buddy!!

Here is a quick video of the night I got third in the True Street Challenge before I got the Procharger in... It was a 13.4 pass... I normally bounce it off the rev limiter and launch and pull a 13.1 or 13.2... but thats still with an unchanged Brenspeed tune...
This will hold ya over for a few more minutes.... haha |

I got it from Texas Hot Rods... Talk to Brian man... He is a great guy... Beat everyones price at 5200 for the complete kit shipped... And that includes the HT0 plugs I bought too... I ended up spending more for the take off wheels and ET streets and a 12lb pulley for when I get my bottom end from Livernois this fall...

Thats awesome. Sweet pics and write up. Prochargers are badass blowers, you'll be in the 11s with alittle more seat time.

If I were in the states I would be in the 11's now... You run consistently about a second slower here than in the states... My buddies STi was the same way... He ran 11.7 in the states and could only get a 12.6 here...
