Congrats and welcome to the fold!

As for rev limiter, I could be mistaken, but with everything stock your power is decreasing at the redline as it is. Some have had success getting their power to keep going up, past 7k even, with some good modding and aftermarket camshafts. I'd guess that until you're able to make power after 6,500 that lifting the rev limit wouldn't help anything.

But don't take my word for it, you've got more mods than me right now.

Good luck!

No, there's been people on here who've tuned their '08s. One person had an issue with his tuner, I think that was how that turned out. He got a replacement tuner and everything worked fine for him.

I've been told the top end is governed at 147mph. With a programmer you can remove it, and with some mods it wouldn't be impossible to hit 155mph with the right conditions. Around 147mph a stock GT is becoming aerodynamically challenged. Oh, and welcome to the forum!

Man, I'll be honest with you. I never thought a "canned tune" would be very good, but a buddy of mine has the C&L Racer with the Predator, underdrive pulleys, some suspension mods, Mickey DR's, and exhaust, and he ran a 12.79 at the track the other night. The Predator "canned tune" must be pretty good.

The street version should do fine. I've been told that the Race version is mainly for people who have every available bolt on plus heads,cams....etc.

The street looks like a good intake, I was going to get the racer, but don't really know why I'd need that much air. I doubt many would notice the difference unless, as Roush Stage II pointed out above, they were running very extensive engine mods. Ford even made their aftermarket racing air intake smaller for 2008 from previous years.

I would get the Racer because it has a larger MAF, plastic inlet tube which means cooler IATs, and it is cheaper.
