35% tint

Funny you should ask that. When I first tinted the windows I put 20% on the sides as well as the back and not only was it too dark on the sides for me the cops took a second glance so I removed the tint(what a mess) and had then put 35% on the sides. I'm a happy camper now. For me it a perfect mix of legal tint and keeps the interior cool in the summer. Its really personal preference. For me night driving was abit more difficult to see out with 20% but I'm an old guy......

This pic was with the 20% all around. You may not be able to tell alot of difference with my other pics but its noticeable inside looking out.

I'll admit even though I'm trying to find out what tint to get I don't even look at that with your car bc that thing is sexy

In upstate NY these cops are very picky about tint. And we can't have any tint on the front side windows, unless it came that way from the company. As far as the 3 back windows, you can tint them as dark as you like by NY State Law. And you can tint the windshield no more than 6 inches down from the top, and no more than 6 inches from the bottom. As far as fines, they start at $500.00 here now if caught illegally tinted. They no longer give just a warning or removal clause. It sucks, but i'll live with it.

i had 20% on my front windows and 5% on the rear ones on the car i had b4 my stang and never got pulled over once but im kinda in a small town nothing close to blacksburg

I think I'm going to do 20% on the 06. The 98 has 5% and its a cop magnet......even with the windows down I've been ticketed for tint
