Intake and octane question.
I have Doug's 89 tq tune. I don't have an intake yet. If I get a CAI do I have to run 91 octane or can I keep using 89 octane and modify my custom tune?

You can still run 89, just play with that tune. If you go NOS or FI, you'll have to go up in octane, but not N/A.

I would up the octane anyway. Make a few more hp with 93 or 91(whichever you havw in your area)

I have a CAI and my tunes from Doug are 89tq, 91perf and 93 Race. I have tried the 89 and 93 and feel that the 93 is the best but the car ran great with the 89. When you get a intake I would contact Doug and get the tune updated

89 presents some unique benefits, its better than 87 but sometimes not much more $$ at some gas stations.
Doug or any tuner can create a tune for any octane to work with any intake. |
