Question

Need A C&L Racer CAI Tune

Just got a brand new C&L Racer CAI. I've got an SCT-X3 with the 93 tune in the car right now. The instructions say that the Predators come programmed with a tune that you can automatically use. Is there anything like that on the X3? I can't find it.

If not, who's got the best tune? And, can I still flash back and forth on the preset X3 octane tunes or are they junk with the new CAI? Do I need all new tunes for flashing back and forth on the octanes with the new CAI?

Is it better to buy from Brenspeed or Bama or some other online tuner or try to find a local shop with a Dyno? Not trying to start a Brenspeed/Bama debate but would like to know if there is a general consensus.

Thoughts?

By the way the manual is refering to a package you buy from c&l that comes with a predator that has custom tunes for the racer intake. Its not a tune that is on regular predators or even a predator you can buy seperate. its has its own part number.

For a tune, I reccomend brenspeed. I just got a C&L 95mm Racer intake and tuner package from them. I was suprised how well the tune and intake woke the car up. I think he does email tunes as well, as long as you have a usb cord for your X-3.

Bamachips or Brenspeed, both great tuners. You can also try Tillman Speed too, they are a great tuner as well.

but from my personal experience, Bamachips has my vote!
