Just Upgraded Brakes what do you think.
Well finally got the rotors, lines and pads installed. WOW what a diffrence. You guys be the judge. LOOKS AWSOME. I just wanted to say thank you to Page from Stillen and Derik from D'Agostino Racing. I broke a Banjo Bolt by over torquing and new bolt was sent out next day. Customer service has been first class.
I also noticed something else. I just washed the car so I knew the rotors were wet and was expecting a bunch of surface rust to appear. To my big surprise I didn't notice any surface rust what so ever as evident in the pictures. I probablly waited a good fifteen minutes before taking the pictures. I'm not sure if this is because I haven't yet broken the rotors in yet or what but so far so good. Here are some before and after pics you be the judge. I'm very happy with out everything came out. Let me know what you think. Stillen Crossdrilled and slotted rotors Stillen racing pads Goodridge SS lines Ford Performance Brake fluid

Nah it looks good just like it is. I like the chrome lug nuts they match the chrome center cap and rotors. It's a good contrast.

Looks great. Big improvement.
The thing with those brakes is having the ability to drive harder, for longer without brake fade.

It depends on what you use the car for. Rotors, pads and stainless lines are fine for the street.

The kit was not $1200 it was $772 shipped to my door I got the kit in about 4 days. You can find a big brake kit which includes the front calipers and a 4 piston job for around $1200. I didnt' want to spend that much and if your just looking to better the performance with out spending some huge coin this is the only option. A lot of people use the powerslot rotors but stillen has a very good reputation on the Jap cars so I thought I'd give them a shot.
I just finished sunday so I wanted to put a few miles on it while I brake it in. And not really jump on it too hard. So far so good absoultly no squeaking which is a very good sign. I'm sure it will outperform the stock stuff but by how much I'm not sure. The ss lines and performance pads plus the slots on the rotors should make a noticable diffrence though. They also offer slotted rotors which would probablly perform a little better. My car is show and go so the cross drilled rotors add that little extra bling I'm looking for. There are a couple of group buys going on for this deal. Thats how I bought it. I think I saved close to $100 if I were to buy it seprately. Just check the "other" fourms for stillen brake group buy and you will find it. I think it was a good deal besides it looks much much better than the stock system. The pictures speak for them selves. I had three people comment on it already at stop lights. The kit came with: - Crossdrilled and slotted rotors front and back you could also get just slotted or just crossdrilled. - Goodridge SS lines- These are the good ones. A lot of racing teams use goodridge - Stillen Racing pads front and back. I bought the G2 Calliper Paint Kit they have a special batch of paint for our mustangs so I had to spend a little extra to get the RedFire kit. But the Torch Red kit which is standard is considerably cheaper and that's what most people paint thier calipers Red or black. I also bought Ford Performance brake fluid and flushed it all out. So far it's been awsome since they zinc coat the entire rotor I have not seen any rust what so ever. Those pics I took was right after I washed the car and you know how you always get that surface rust right after a washing. I had waited about 15minutes after I washed and dried the car before I took those pics so I was amazed at how there was no surface rust at all. Over all I think it's worth $772 I get a bit better performance and it looks great. Farily easy mod to install too. U just have to be careful with the Banjo bolts on the SS lines. There is no real good way to torque them down since it's not a square type connector like the OEM ones.
