Roush stage 3

Is there a pully upgrade option...if so what does it make for boost on it and what numbers would it lay down?

If your talking about an 2008 Stage 3, there is no optional Roush pulley. The 73 mm Roush pulley on that car is the latest and greatest. That is a Pulley upgrade package for the pre-2008 model Roush's. I have it on my 2007 427R. Its rated at 445 FWHP & 418Fl/lbs. There is a BBR 2.57" pulley that many guys are installing with a custom aftermarket tune but that will void any warranty for the car.

The stock 2008 Stage 3 would dyno in the 390+- RWHP range and I've seen some guys with that BBR pulley and custom tune dyno in the 425+- RWHP range. Boost will be in the 6-8PSI range with either pulley.

If your not running at least drag radials, thats more power then any street tire can handle anyways.

okay this is an 06...he says he has a pully up grane and he is pushing 9.5 psi on it

I'd say just as a common sense observation that 9.5psi would be abit optimistic for the two pulley upgrades I know of. Even BBR says expect up to 9psi with their's so its not impossible. Most guys with boost gauges I have heard from on these Roushcharged cars don't read levels that high in real world conditions.

he is claiming 440 to the wheels as well...and he is sct tuned...dunno he wont run his car... just his mouth

Well like many people on and off these forums its more about ego and bragging so its hard to say who's story is true and who's just Bs'ing about HP/et's etc. That being said here is a link to a local car club forum and we had several club members get their cars tuned in OKC by Bama. Post # 61 and #62 shows the dyno numbers of a 2006 Mustang GT automatic, Roushcharged with the 73mm pulley upgrade, long tube headers etc,Bama Tune. You can see what they posted as RWHP so your buddy may or may not be putting out 440RWHP but it can be done with these Roushchargers.
