Well...if i only get 12 then I'll spend money on an aluminum driveshaft, UDP's, LCA's and maybe some axle backs just for fun. That should get me more than 12 hp huh?

udp's good for a solid 7hp and the driveshaft they say 10 on the dyno 2/10s off the 1/4 so you might as well call it 20hp

Your not going to get a driveshaft, udps, lcas and axle backs for 900 though. unless you get some real cheap axle backs. even then i dont think you could.

Im not trying to discourage you from the lt's just letting you know. our cars have the freest flowing exhuast of any stang from the factory. you dont see the gains. and the H isnt the best flowing anyway. If you went with an X or a prochamber o/r maybe you see 15.

Yeah, I like the exhaust sound. I can get JBA axle backs for like 200, driveshaft for 510, pullies and lower control arms should be around 300-400 so i'm looking at just over a grand...

I am still debating on what all to get (trying to get as close to $1000 as possible) I'll probably order the stuff at the beginning of next week.

I bought it with an xcal 3 for like 480 while my cai was coming in the mail. It was my friend at Latemodelrestoration.com. Is there a problem with buying the CMDP before UDP? Another friend from this car club i'm in says he wont buy the UDP cause it takes power away from cooling/brakes/steering. It doesn't make that much of a difference now does it?

The cmdp are just fun to install and do make a difference with hp/torque above 3000RPM's. Atleast thats the big difference that i've felt. Dad's Roush 427R adds the pulley to give it the extra hp over the stage 3's...If only I had a nice weekend I could take all the parts I would need off his car I'm sure he wouldn't mind too much

Hey Bad if your ever looking for parts though, and you can't get them from your friends or whatever, then deff check with 07stanggt, because he will not only help you with getting the best price, but he will also walk you through installs or whatever, and he backs up his products too.

I will def turn to him if my friends can't get me a part that I need/want.

O yeah, and it was the tuner/plates for 480 together.

It was economy that ended up being 130 after tax I guess. The race plates are basically the same but with a port for NO2 right?

I'm going to price everything out next week so I'll see what my friend can do, but I think that I will def ask you and go with the best deals . Latemodel seems to always charge tax, but shipping is free and its a 15 min drive. If I can get the parts I want for cheaper shipped to my door then I'll do that.

I agree 100% I was really looking into exhaust mods, and the more I looked at it, especially as far as money spent versus return in HP, its not worth it! LT's, X pipe, hi flow cats, and 12 HP? I did a CAI/tune,axlebacks, and I want to go to 3.73 gears. After that, I think I'll save up and get a Whipple. Done!!! These parts get expensive, and it doesn't seem like these engines respond well unless you go FI. Like I've heard time and again, Ford did a great job on the exhaust, so why spend alot of money I can put away for a Whipple instead of wasting (IMHO) on mods that really don't make a big difference?! I really changed my mind lately, also I need the cash (getting married this year, and also home improvements), so I'm lucky enough to just have the car, so when I mod, I want it to really count, and only do the essentials.

Agreed +1, but I like doing a few mods at a time cause most cost between 200-300. It would take a yr or two to save for a whipple so that will be the last thing. I would really like to see what my NA mustang can do.

Another choice is NO2...I know most ppl dont like it but their are some major advantages: you only have the high hp when you spray (dragging at the track) and still have a very nice autox car. Really nice and a good system will only set you back $1000
