i was reading about this run in the g35 forum and they were saying the air density was at 105%...with perfect weather condition like that, our mustangs can run 13.1's. instead of that G35 making 260+whp it was making like 280+whp, this was a rare run for that car.

I think if you withdraw the 1k you dont have, put 4.10's and sticky tires on it, and then blow his god damn doors off, .. well anyways thats ur best bet

i wouldn't get a cai. Not enough gains to make a real difference in this race. Get 4.10's or even 4.30's if you dont highway drive it, and put stickys on it.

+1. The stock tires only perform well cruising down a mildly twisty road. They're terrible from a launch.

Or you miss second and the he gets the new mufflers and intake. Careful man 1K is a lot of dough for a race that close.

I know it'll be close in the 1/8th, if it were 1/4 i wouldnt be as worried but what do ya think?

Tell him to show you the money before you race. You know how friends can be. I can just picture it after the race. "Oh ya bro I was just kidding about the 1k, you got a fast GT though" LOL

Look man these new stang are nice stock. Cold air and tune he is yours,he is yours now ,the only thing it sounds like to me is two none drivers going at it so becareful and avoid the street, race him in a place with no worries, cop etc.Rev her roll release and sink don't skid cause you will loose ground 4k 4.5 k give her second quick she will screech tires normal with these suckers, now that third gear is the f..k up if you fight it so engage carefully rip 4th, most importantly let the gt use its powerband no need to go over 5.5k that way keep ground on him if you're a slow shifter.

Been There, Done That

My first run at the track on Wednesday night was against a kid in a G35. He never had a chance, and all I've got is the no-tune Airaid CAI.

Here are the numbers. (Bear in mind: Bandimere is at 5,860 feet elevation; our times up here are over a second slower than they would be at sea level.)

--------HIM ------------ ME
R/T... .345 ................. .247
60'.... 2.647 ............... 2.352
330... 7.297 ............... 6.467
1/8... 11.004 .............. 9.834
MPH.. 66.33 .............. 72.31
1000. 14.207 ............ 12.766
1/4... 16.892 ............ 15.234
MPH.. 84.72 .............. 91.91

Yeah, I know my 60' time sucks.

That equates to a mid 15 second run at his elevation.
