Mod's for a Roush 427R
My dad has a Roush and I was just wondering what he could do to get a little more HP. Do they make cai's? Would he have to buy a tuner and get it dyno tuned cause of the blower? Post up if you got a suggestion

It already has gears (3.73's) and a smaller pulley(I think). I might be able to get him to get a dyno tune
Muahaha! Roush really built a nice car, but 5psi isn't enough lol.

Agreed!!!
A 427R is basically a specifically tuned package in a box. 2008 models already have a smaller pulley. That is about all you can do to stay within the warranty window. If you want more (non-warranty) power take it to a dyno tuner and get a custom tune with a BBR smaller pulley and maybe a few other mods, CAI,headers,Driveshaft etc like was mentioned above. You never mentioned what tires your running. Funny how guys want to turn up the HP and never figure that the stock street tires/suspension couldn't handle that power anyways. Or call JDM and get the updated Roush Supercharger that is a Twinscrew and not a Roots. I think it is Model "TVS"....
See Link Below Team JDM gets first S197 Roush 2.3L TVS blower kit!!! - WWW.S197FORUM.COM

Thanks for the ideas! I think we will keep it stock until the warranty dies. Hopefully by then dad will be too old for a sportscar and get a bimmer...That means I inherit the Roush!!

What's a good price for an 07' 427R? A local dealer has one for $37,800.

New 08's go for 50K, Roush 427R kit cost about 16K on top of the price of a GT. Find out what you can get for a 2007 GT (I would think about 25,000 for perfect condition) so +16000 and you get 41K...I would say if you like the car thats a great deal.
