Throttle Body

If I buy a used stock throttle body is there anything I would have to do or is it just a plug & play deal.

The plan is to paint it to match my car

What you plan on painting it with? Most paint will dry in 2-3 hours and if you do get a bigger one make it a GT500 one they are a lot easier to tune.

I was thinking of maybe powder coating it so it'll last a long time

It starts to become a restriction at about 500rwhp.

Just an FYI - I've tried both a BBK TB and a Ford Truck/GT500 TB. Neither worked properly and even JDM posted over on modularfords.com the gains were minimal with the GT500 TB. You have to buy their adapter because the GT500 TB will not bolt right up to the 3v manifold. The TB only becomes a restriction at 500hp and for centrifugal type blowers. Also, the throttle sensors and motor are hugely important to the drivability of the car.
Messing with them usually yields issues, as I can attest. I'm back to using my stock TB and I had a buddy of mine powdercoat it (after removing the motor and sensor of course).

looks good. I plan on painting them myself or powder coating the cam covers, TB, and maybe the fuel rails. I'm gonna try and paint them to match my car
