1 Ford hotrod cam is in.

My 2006 is in the shop, they have one side done and it already sounds very nice. So, the video with the white car is not bogus. They are doing the other side tonight. I have also had a 3000rpm stall torque converter installed and as soon as my tuner retunes my engine and tranny, I should have my rig home by Saturday. My club is going to the drags down in Gleason TN at the end of the month. I will post as to how that comes out. My previous best for the 1/8th is 8:51 at 83mph.

There is no way... What did you take your car to a muffler shop to get the cams installed? No Offense but no tech in there right mind would even consider doing that...

Yeah, I wouldn't have ever thought anyone would start an engine with two different cams in it. Hopefully it doesn't screw anything up.

How much did you pay for installation?

Looks like I'm getting mine installed on Tuesday.

There is no technical reason why you couldnt run with two different cams. Seems very odd but it really can't hurt anything, they run independent of each other. I'm going to start my teardown here in about an hour and see what happens!

+1

But it's still stupid. If they started my car up while doing the Cams, then they better be paying for everything too.

Funny thing. I just started the car with one cam done. Wanted to hear if I had any odd noises and such. Thought of the cars new name (was lightning because the yellow car is thunder). I think I am going to call her.. Half Nasty.

Well, its done. Sounds badass.. runs like CRAP. Gotta get to tuning. I'll get some clips tomorrow for sure so you all can hear. It sounds pretty much like the youtube car on the outside, on the inside is sounds a little weak. It is definently a more bark than bite car right now.

Yep. It idles lopey but needs a little more idle air. Probably going to have to mess with the phaser timing a little to get the torque to come in a little sooner. It is running the stock tune with just the MAF and WOT fuel dialed in for the Airaid intake.

That sucks. I hope my Brenspeed 93 octane tune will hold me over until I can get a custom dyno tune.

02 - I'm having the local stealership install. Best price, frpp warranty, and I don't have to worry about being the one that fucks up my engine.

Do you need to re-tune with all the cams?

Glad to hear you got them in. they dont make much power without tuning. JPC told me that. He is the one that posted the video, so i dont think what you experienceing is abnormal or anything to worry about from what he said about them. That car in the videos is tuned you know. im sure you'll get it right.
