Anyone Else Hoping They Build A 2008 Boss 302?

After reading the article about Ford unveiling a boss 302 at the SEMA show, I'm sure hoping they decide to build an '08 BOSS 302 imagine the possibilities with that for a start. Don't know how long till they make another Mach 1 but I'm waiting

5.4 liter 4 valve v8 380-400 hp 390-420 tq. Lightweight... why not no back seats? Anything to get the job done. get it down to a weight of 3300.

I like the lightweight idea, problem is the 5.4 (especially 4-valve) is an extremely heavy engine since they're iron. I'd like to see a stroked 4.6 though. Get the displacement AND lightweight since they are aluminum.

I've read about this car, and they are also supposed to be coming out with another 5.0, code named the Hurricane. Read it in 5.0 Mustang or something. Check it out: Hurricane 5.0
"More significant, though, will be the new Boss, which will introduce Ford's all-new 5.0-liter Hurricane V-8.

Due late in the year, the limited-edition Boss will get a tuned 425- to 435-horsepower version of the Hurricane, a stripped-down interior (though air-conditioning will be available), and less sound deadening.

The idea is to replicate the original Boss Mustang's race-special feel. Only 1000 cars will be built."

AH... I'm not rich, by any means, but I'm only going to be here on this planet once, and as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else, what the hell!!! I did just get my '07 just after Christmas. I've had so much fun!!! I have almost 5k miles on it already!!!

If I'm not mistaken, the 2007 GT chassis/frame has been tweaked to accommodate to the GT500 5.4 engine. So....why not just swap out your 4.6 for a 5.4..bigger than the 302.

they say if it is produced it will have more power than a mustang GT, cheaper than a shelby GT500, and lighter than a v6

A 430 horsepower car that is lighter than the regular 05+ Mustang GT, nevermind the portly, almost 4000 lb Shelby500? Slap a blower/turbo & a tune on this thing, and it will absolutely rock. Sign me up. *drool*

+1 06VISTABLUEGT - Just stroke the 4.6 w/ forged internals and ported heads and a cam. Light, strong and blower/turbo ready......no need for heavy 5.4L iron block.....as far as no rear seats in the BOSS - it takes 3 bolts and 5 minutes to remove my GT back seat, no need to spend $40K on a limited edition Stang for that.

Man I hope they build those cars.Sweeeeet. I heard too that Ford was going to come up with a few different variations of a 5.0 liter Boss 302 crate motor,has anyone else heard this ?

If they do I know what our 92's gonna be sportin.

1 of 1000? Cheaper than a GT500? And you don't think the dealers are gonna jack the price up by twice list like they did on the GT500's huh? :wink

If you can lay your hands on one of those for under 60k, I'll be shocked.
