Yeah man... drop those cats and open her up! She'll be a beast then!

I should have clips of mine w/ Pypes O/R-H and Pypes Mid-Muffler by Wednesday (getting cams installed Tuesday morning).

How about these cams?

I got mine in Saturday and the sound is just great. Mine is a bit louder as I have some leaky header gaskets. People just stare as if to say, these modern cars are not suppossed to sound like this. Ford has hit a homerun with these cams. Sales are going to be up. I have two friends who are ordering theirs.
Great job. Ron

I ordered mine from Sutton High Performance - Mustang, GT, Shelby, 2v, 3v, 4v modular performance parts and will be installing them (for now) without a custom tune. A custom tune will happens soon, though.

I finally got in touch with Livernois, and asked them for some quotes on cam installation, 4.10 install, custom tune, etc... Waiting to hear back, but if their price is anywhere near the price from Varsity, I'm going to cancel tomorrows install and go to Livernois. I know its best for my car

I'll keep ya'll posted when I hear back from them with prices.

OK, Livernois was about double the price, so I'll stick with the stealership.

I did make a tentative appointment for June 23rd to install my 4.10s ($320) and for a custom dyno tune w/wideband ($550 total).

I'll make a new post about this shortly so I don't hijack any further.

Dude, between the red wings game tonight and the cams tomorrow... I don't think much sleep will be had tonight!!!

Also, I just got an email back from bama and he said he could do an email tune for me because he has done tunes for the hit rod cams already and is also installing the cams in his own car. I'm ordering the tune tonight so I can hopefully avoid a custom dyno tune later.

Man I want them too so bad.....my 13 year old has been helping me with the few mods we have done so far and doesn't understad why we can't put the cams in ourselves....lol There is no way I would attempt something like that with only the little bit of knowledge I have. BUT man those hot rod cams sound awesome. Can't wait to hear your clip when you can make one......not a big hockey person but since the canes aren't in it, then go red wings

Sutton High Performance

I got mine from Sutton also, but now they may be available at some other outlets. We SCT tuned my car after the install. The sound is incredible.
The negative on these cams is the price. I have heard that other companies might be able to grind them for less than Ford Racing and I have heard that the Hot rod cams may have been ground by Comp. Just rumors, but who knows. Ron

I was told FRPP did it themselves and that was the hold up. But like you said, who knows. They should start having comp do it maybe they would come out faster.

Are these the "Hot Rod Cams" or another version of NSR cams?

Do you mean in the write up. No those are comp stage II NSR cams. the original.

But the same procedure would work for changeing any cam.

So the cams in the write up are not the cams that Sutton and other Ford dealers are offering for around $800 or so. Any idea on the rwhp gains for the ones you installed in the write up? Thanks.
