I installed a 2008 Bullitt wheel in my '06 GT. It's a very easy install. You need to disconnect the neg. battery cable and pull the airbag fuse for some period of time, maybe 15-30 minutes. You need a new bolt from Ford to hold the new wheel, it's a one time use bolt, only cost me $2-$3. You need to look up the torque. I didn't need a puller or any thing, it just came right off. If you use a Ford wheel like I did, you just unplug the wires and plug them back onto the new wheel. Don't know about other aftermarket wheels. You re-use the airbag module and center piece. You'd be smart to look into the manual for the step by step including the re-power up procedure. Wasn't a bad job at all.
If you want the sporty look, but still wanna have airbags, then checkout Momo, because I believe they use to sell some that had airbags. Call first to be sure though.
The Bullitt wheel is all black, without the aluminum spoke covers. I think it's a little thicker, and has places molded into it for your thumbs above the spokes. I read somewhere the leather is a little higher quality too. One thing, it doesn't come with an aribag module/center hub - you re -use your GT hub & airbag unit.
I love the look of mine.
as for the steering wheel and the facial smashage, im getting black leather sparco seats and harnesses for graduation. So i just wanted to know exactly what all i'd need to attach an aftermarket steering wheel.

No problem man. I get free long distance anyway, so I figured I would see. The ones that had airbags only fit a few select cars anyway he said. Anyway, is your car Vista Blue??? :dunno If so, then this one may look good:
Here is an install How-to with the FR500, so this should give you an idea of how hard the install will actually be. To me it don't seem that hard, but it depends on what you feel safe doing yourself. I would attempt it only if your good with your Hands & Tools.
So do I, but it just depends on what ya like. If he wants an aftermarket racing style steering wheel, then I think one that has a color similar to his cars color, would look best imho.
haha no it wouldnt. my car looks so shitty parked in my drive anyway. but the fact that i paid for it makes it seem so nice to me
