well maybe that isnt my shifter in the middle..........i have the chrome handle on mine, i dont know if that makes a difference in the type..........but anyways, i put the shifter handle on the passenger side, and it is in there tight with loctite...........i dont know what my problem is, i went and drove it a second ago, and i THINK my foot might be faster than my hand, and it only grinds when i am spinning (which i usually do, even though i still make fast runs)...........and i sent ya' another PM 07stanggt

Yea that is the stock upper stick on there. that is your shifter, i just use to run it with the stock upper stick on it becuase a, the ball on the hurst rattled and b the stock stick is shorter then the hurst, and it made the throw feel shorter and better to me. I liked it becuase it was lower. try it out you will see what i mean its actually makes it a lot nicer.

yea it does look good. I have it on there with the new one. You could try the stock stick for the track though and see if it helped you there. the only thing your worried about looking good there is your time slip.

After driving around all day, shifter is so much better than the stock shifter, it doesn't feel like a wet noodle when you go through the gears...you have to really crank down and tighten the top two bolts a couple of times with an allen wrench, because they wiggle loose after a few drives...after fixing that no problems...
I think that looks awesome - congrats.
Glad to hear you like it better than stock. I have been thinking of getting one but wondered how it worked as a daily driver, rather than just at the track.

I am DD and would not want to go back to the stock shifter. Easy installation and added some flavor to the daily commute

It's a blast to drive DD...I am telling you....if you've are hedging, just do it.
It's not like it's that difficult to put in gear...it's stiff...but the way a shifter is supposed to feel, imo.
I have driven a GT500 with the KR shifter, a GT with the old hurst, and now my car with the new billet hurst, and I have to say that it is my favorite of the three. It just feels the way a shifter is supposed to feel.
