greasing the adj. panhard bar?

Is this important? The instruction said to put about 3 pumps of lithium grease in it. Did any of you guys do this? I don't remember reading anything about this in the write-ups i read.

i wouldnt go to long, you could put to much wear on it without it, the grease helps keep it cool and lubed up.
