Newbie Questions
I want to know if I can install factory GPS into my 06? I know I can go aftermarket, but used factory nav seems cheaper. I'm not sure what it costs to have the factory unit reprogrammed though.
#2) Isn't there a decent CAI that doesn't require a damn tune? I don't mind putting up a couple hundred for a CAI but $500+ for a CAI/tuner seems a bit much. What other mods are worth the $$ to do? My car has a Xenon body kit, Eibach pro kit, flowmasters, and 20" foose wheels. I was thinking CAI, shifter, maybe pullies if they actually do anything. What do you think? I'd also like to upgrade to HID. I'm leaning towards a bi-xenon kit. Who is a good dealer/manufacturer. Thanks in advance!

With GPS, your better off getting an aftermarket one, trust me. As far as CAI go, get one with a Tuner. The ones without a Tune are not worth the money, and you won't see or feel the gains to be honest. I got my C&L Racer CAI w/ a Brenspeed 93 Tune, and let me tell ya bro, you def feel that shit. Once you get above 2,000-3,000 rpms, it will pull much harder, and the gains are phenominal. As for the best mods to get, I would say beef up the handling, and Suspension, then: 4.10 Gears Short Throw Shifter LT Headers O/R Mid-Pipe NSR Cams P&P Heads S/C or Turbo And then you will have one badass car bro. It would be easier to tell you what to get though, if we knew your budget.

Thanks guys! This is my 6th stang, but my first 06. I have been out of the stang world for about 3 yrs. My last car was a 2003 S/C Boyd Coddington California Special S3 Roush Vert. I put a CAI and magnaflows on it and that really woke that car up! Thanks for bearing with me til I get back up to speed.

No problem man. If you have other questions, just feel free to ask. Most people on here are pretty cool, and seem to know a thing or 2 about these cars.

Welcome to MM.
And CAI that is worth it requires a tune. If you want nav, go aftermarket.
