They don't really, unless your making big power, or if you just want them for the hell of it, or have big plans for the future.

BMR has the traditional subframes and Steeda has torque boxes, but I don't think people benefit from them too much unless you are making huge power.

I just read an article on this, maybe i can find it later. but basically the s197s rigidity is like twice as much as the fox or sn95. So much that a convertible s197 has a higher rigidity factor than a coupe sn95.

your chasis is the SN95 correct, the heads and front clip, 1/4 panels and fenders are irrelevant to that designation. It is the same chasis with the same rigidity.

I have them on my vert. I have the BMRs but needed custom fabing to get them to fit due to the factory bracing on the vert.

here are a couple from the install. I dont have any of the final full view.

Forensicsteve has everything on his car....and that isn't a joke. He has to have the stiffest S197 ever....I think any car that will be running slicks and launching at 5000 rpm at the drag strip could use them just for insurance...I had a Z28 that was so twisted that the T-Tops wouldn't come out and had to be put on a frame machine 3 different time to get a new T-Top on after one cracked. They are cheap insurance and I am planning on installing a set when I get around to messing with my car again.

I would say anything close to 500rwhp or more, then you would benefit from buying them.
