Not worth it. Buy a GT and mod it.

If it is S/C'd, I would try to stay in the mid $30's. If it's cheap enough, it is def. worth it. Saleen's, IMO obviously, are one of the best looking Mustangs. The only reason I would think about buying a GT500 would be for the drivetrain. I'm pretty even on looks and speed, both matter to me.

If it is not S/C'd, around $30k. I would go the non-sc'd route and do your own thing, like I did with my Kenne Bell

Non S/C'd?, I wouldn't buy it bro. You can buy a new GT for less than that, and with around the same power.

You are correct...also mention the fact that your GT doesn't have a body kit, doesnt have 20" wheels with performance tires, doesnt have lowering springs offering a better stance, doesnt have performance shocks and struts, doesnt have a performance front sway bar, doesnt have an aftermarket exhaust, tune or UDPs, doesnt have custom interior with a 200mph gauge and it doesnt have the exclusivity of a limited production mustang...other than that, they are essentially the same!!
