NSR Supercharger Cams
Been lurking here for some time now and thought with all the cam talk here lately i might ask the question.
I'm getting a supercharger installed in a couple of weeks and was wondering how much benefit a cam specifically designed for a supercharger would be. Lots of talk about the NSR cams on NA cars, but haven't found anything about them on FI 4.6 cars. I'm going to be running about 8-10 lbs of boost doing mostly open track days and street. I also have 4.10's for gearing. Any thoughts??? |

welcome to the forum i'll link you to comps site. They have the normal NSR cams that will work well with FI and they have 2 Stages of blower NSR cams for high boost applications. I dont think 8 to 10plbs counts as high boost so it would be your choice, they both would work fine for you. Please feel free to ask me any other questions.
The top 4 cams on this page are the NSR 3 Vavle cams. You can read up on them and let me know if you need anything else. COMP Cams: 4.6L & 5.4L 3 Valve Cams & Kits |

Wow! Thanks for the quick reply's! I should be putting about 430-450 to the wheels and was curious if a cam would make the supercharger work "easier" and maybe worth a few more HP. How much extra HP do you think they would add?? Is it really worth the time and extra $$ at this point? The supercharger is a BIG step up already.
Short list of mods: CAI, CMCV Delete plates, Long tube headers, Hi flow Metal cats, 1 piece driveshaft, Corsa Exhaust and 4.10's and more suspension/bracing than I care to type right now. |

between all the cams, i've heard alot about, BBR stage 2, FRPP, and now these NSR. i think i like the NSR only because i wouldnt have to change the valve springs.
just what wondering what cams are all yall running and so far which ones are the best for daily driving and if i wanted to add a super charger later?

they kick in lower then that. just like the stage IIs. the stage IIs say the say thing. Thats refering to HP anyway and with the 20 to 25 peak on peak TQ gains thats at 4100. You will feel the difference down low with those cams.
