Kenne Bell 2.6H vs 2.8H
I am thinking about selling the 2.6H setup with everything included to make some serious HP and purchasing a 2.8H kit. I was wondering what direction to go first get the supercharger or do some other needed mods.
Right now my car has 0 strengthening done to it. I was wondering if I should get the cage and finish suspension or get the 2.8H and run it for a while. I know the 2.6H won't get me to my goal of 800 rwhp but the car is still basicly stock except for the motor and rear end. I don't have much more money to spend before my wife leaves me but I am getting bored with the car again already and looking for something new. I would need to sell the 2.6H first before I get the 2.8H and I can at least recoupe some of the money I have invested in it. I am looking for some guidance from my bro's before dumping more money and not being satisfied. My wife has made the money tight for the car fund recently and the next thing I was planning on was a SOS Triple Gauge Pillar and some Nexus gauges for my birthday present to myself next month. Any ideas to get me interested in the car again would help and I am not big on visual mods. Thanks, BJ

around $6300...I have a $1800 intake setup (Custom Sheetmetal Rear Intake,Monoblade TB, and 4" CAI), $2400 upgrade to 2.6H, $295 for BA5000 Mass Air, and I originally purchased the kit for $5700. I would consider selling the kit I bought with 2.6S and regular intake, and Lightning Mass Air for $5000.

yeah but I would have to send the car to California to get it custom fit. I would also have to purchase a base Whipple kit which would be close to $10k to get it done. I have honestly been waiting on the 2.8 kit since I bought my kit and I like KB for some reason.

Oh, and if you are going to get that serious with power, I would recommend working on the rest of the car first. Tie the chassis together with the cage & subframe connectors, you're going to need a serious rear end to handle that much power, and will probably need to upgrade the suspension to properly utilize that power.

I can't even think about getting blown this year. I've already dropped too much cash into her already.
Best of luck on the sale!

that is my cross road, I want the power now but I "kind of need" the rest. I may just park the car for a couple months and maybe will be happy with it again when I drive it after a break.

I believe he broke his rearend already and has a 9" in the rear. You could use all the bracing you can get, but if it isn't a car that sees alot of track time I would stay away from the cage just for comfort reasons.

I am not that big on racing at the track and now everyone around town knows about the car. So everybody doesn't want to race to lose.

Start modding the exterior. You said everybody knows the car, so the sleeper factor is gone, so why not make it look as awesome as it performs.

Ultimate sleeper ftw. Other than the gigantic 88mm howling when it spools up, that is.

red, I honestly never looked into visual modes except for the side exhaust and didnt care for it once I seen it, I may look into hoods and getting rid of the spoiler.
