Help! I just got pulled over by a rookie lady cop

I haven't started my Bullitt up in almost a week. So It's finally the weekend and I figured I'd shoot it down to the gas station about 2 miles away, get a powerball ticket and come back. simple enough. Well I was 1/4 mile from home and this cop car passes me going the opposite way, does a U turn and pulled me over. I figured it was for no front license plate. Sure enough, it was for no front license plate. It was a young over-weight gal. And she acted like she was my friendly neighbor. All happy and cheerful. Which is good but I'm not used to them treating me like that. I'm used to them treating me like an ex-con who just escaped prison. She let me off with a warning.

Anyway now I can't drive it until I get a front license plate. Do You guys know how to put one on the front? there is no place on the bumper for a plate. Can I use velcro? Hey! that's a great idea, isn't it?

Front plate

Mine came with a plate thingy.
Made the best of it and got a Ford Racing plate.
These plate brackets are a factory item. I'm sure you can get them.
If that's what you're looking for...

Moss Mustang has a foldaway front license bracket. Sorry I can't link it. Thank God Kentucky doesn't bother us with that nonsense, it would break my heart to drill holes in my front bumper. I think the one @ Moss Mustang's site attaches under the bumper.

Man, I'd be so pissed if we had to use front plates. They look fine on the back, but on the front they look like ass. Glad to hear you got a warning, but sucks you have to put the plate on.

Seems like thats an easy thing to get pulled over for. I'd just put it on and not risk it.

How many states require front plates anyways?

Yeah, I see a lot of people do that as well. I think I would do the same.

I'm sure you could use some kind of adhesive, or magnets to get it to work. Just be creative.

+1 people troll for plates...comit a crime, ditch your plate and all of a sudden you have another cop knockin on your door.

Like that flip down plate, that's cool!

If I'm remembering correctly, there are little dimples in the factory bumper to show you where to drill - but if you can find an alternative like the flip down, that would def be the way to go.

Be glad you got a lady cop....some dude with a small penis and mustang envy would have ticketed you

Here's the CA code. Just google it you will find your laws.

Front License Plate Bracket

11713.17. (a) Following the retail sale or lease of a motor vehicle for which the department issues two license plates, a dealer may not deliver the motor vehicle unless either of the following occurs:
(1) The motor vehicle is equipped with a bracket or other means of securing a front license plate.
(2) The dealer obtains a signed written acknowledgment from the person taking delivery of the motor vehicle acknowledging both of the following:
(A) The person expressly refused installation of a bracket or other means of securing the front license plate.
(B) The person understands that California law requires a license plate to be displayed from and securely fastened to the front of the motor vehicle and that the hardware necessary to securely fasten the front plate is available from the dealer.
(b) A manufacturer or distributor may not sell or distribute in this state a new motor vehicle for which the department issues two license plates, unless that motor vehicle is equipped or provided with a bracket or other means of securing the license plates.

Thanks for all the help guys. I like the fold down plate. I like how its sits low and off to the side and it doesn’t block air flow to the radiator. Thanks 1fastfox for that link. Yeah, I’m just going to put a plate on the front. I don’t want to give the cops a reason to pull me over because I don’t always drive in accordance with law .
