haha, I suppose. I try not to beat on it at all, but I still go and screw around all the time anyways.
Like in this vid After that vid and a day before I was treating the car so badly. I stopped cause I just know it's gonna come back and bite me in the ass if I keep doing it. |

06, do yourself a favor and avoid burnouts on two seperate surfaces like you did the first one. Partially because if you groove the tire or anything passing over the transition area, your gonna be needing a replacement. You were sort of parallel there and a tire with that much wheel spin could get caught up by a piece of pavement and such. Secondly, Blacktop and concrete have different consistencies in terms of traction. The obvious is that if one gets traction over the other, your carrier/tlok ain't gonna last long.

I have 4.10s in my ride... last week drove to the track...mostly highway... made 4 runs... went on a 40 mile rescue mission (long story) on 2 lane back roads.... made 3 more runs... filled up.. 17.5 mpg! I was impressed!

I drove 70mph on the way home today - 24.2mpg. So 10mph means a 3mpg difference with my car.

i think there's a sticky in the 99-04 section about there being no difference in MPG when switching gear ratios.

There is for sure a difference, but it's not a HUGE difference like some people think.

Took car on a very rare highway trip last friday. Actually furthest car has been driven nonstop in over a year. Went about 18 miles each way. I do drive the speed limit when in traffic and maybe even 5 miles below when noone behind. I was monitoring the oil temp gauge mostly, but noticed at about 55 mph, rpms were about 1700 and mpg was 28. something.
Have 4.10 gears, 76mm turbo, stage II heads/cams, and 3 speed race automatic, but was in overdrive (4th gear). Could hear a little bit of whine from the turbo but boost must have been minimal...couple of pounds...maybe less. Last edited by forensicsteve; June 24th, 2008 at 08:07 AM. |

I know you weren't asking me, but I'm a pic whore.
Depending on traffic, I set my cruise control at 125-130mph.
