Installing Headers

I'm going to install headers this weekend. I bought the BBK shorty ceramic ones. I'm not really sure how much I will gain but they have to be better the stock manifolds. I do know they will look alot better. My question is should I use the gaskets BBK sent or something different? I remember reading something about a copper type gasket.

I used the stage 8 bolts as well. They're good, for sure!
Best of luck! I know the shorty install HAS to be a little less annoying than long tubes. I NEVER want to install headers on my car again!

I know alot of people will say to use aftermarket gaskets and locking bolts, but I feel that is not absolutely necessary. I reused both my factory gaskets and factory studs when I installed my FRPP ceramic shorties over a year ago, and have had no problems. I know of a 1/2 dozen other guys to do the same without problems too.

Not saying that the aftermarket stuff is junk, just saying that you can reuse the factory pieces assuming they're in good shape and you don't damage them during removal.
